HOMEBUYER DISCOVERS RARE FIND AT CHESTNUT HILL
6/12/2006
MORRISTOWN, NJ—The prospect of relocating from a 3,500 sq. ft. single-family home in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania to a more manageable but no less comfortable single-level condominium in Morristown posed quite a dilemma for Laura Perry, who was eager to secure a new home within 20 miles of her job as a Group Vice President for a pharmaceutical advertising agency in Parsippany. Enter Chestnut Hill, the nearly sold-out condominium/ townhome community bordering Morristown’s quaint downtown and created by award-winning builder, Fenix Investment & Development.
“My goal was new construction in a desirable neighborhood from where I could get to work without having to drive for hours,” recalls Laura, who, along with Daisy, her Old English Sheep Dog, is about to take delivery on her Chestnut Hill home. “After a long search, it seemed that what I was looking for in the area simply did not exist, especially with three bedrooms, which was very important. Then, an acquaintance who lived at the Georgetowne at Morristown Community built by Fenix a few years ago alerted me to Chestnut Hill. That got my attention.”
Laura purchased in the pre-construction phase of the community, and needed to rely on floor plans and architectural renderings in order to perceive what would evolve into exactly the home she desired. “I was already convinced of the high level of design and construction quality by what I saw at the Georgetowne community,” she said. “But I was pleasantly surprised and extremely impressed with the personal attention given by the people at Fenix, especially Patrick O’Neill, the company’s President. He realized that I was asking for just about every option and upgrade available, and then some, which required extensive modifications. He was only too happy to accommodate and turn those original floor plans into a virtual custom home.”
According to Laura, O’Neill and his team were able to fulfill all of her requests, some of which were very detailed and personal, without deviating from the floor plans to which she was so impressed from the onset of her homebuying experience. “I wanted to have some nostalgic appointments from my home in Pennsylvania built-in to this one,” she said. “One priority was a fireplace in the master bedroom, which turned out absolutely beautiful. I have worked with builders in the past, but I can say without reservation that Patrick and everyone at Fenix brought a whole new meaning of customer service to me. Even Daisy appreciates the elevator service in our building.”
Only two of the eight available homes remain at Chestnut Hill. These are the spacious, three-bedroom condominiums, featuring traditionally inspired floorplans, gourmet kitchens, hardwood flooring and an abundance of detailed trimwork. All homes at Chestnut Hill also feature their own, private outdoor areas. Prices start at $699,900.
